Henry Penzi, also known as the “E” from entourage has helped many stars become who they are today and is heavily involved in the Hollywood scene.

We’re so excited to hear his inside secrets of how Hollywood Stars train for movie roles – let’s dive in!

What A Day On Set Looks Like

The reality is, most stars have to wake up super early to get their workouts in.

Call times for filming usually start around 7am – so this means you’d have to wake up around 4 or 5 in the morning to hit the weights…

Whether that’s at a gym trailer that’s brought on set or running to an actual gym beforehand.

Usually an actor has roughly 4 to 6 weeks to prepare for the film.

Obviously, this can vary movie to movie. For example, Henry has been working on a team with Mark Wahlberg for many, many years now.

For Mark’s movie Pain and Gain, he landed the role and then trained for 2 years (lots of boxing lessons included) to reach the condition you saw in the movie.

Inside Secrets

Now, if you’ve seen the movie Pain and Gain, then you probably noticed how Mark went from being pretty bulky, then quickly into amazing shape during the movie.

Well, Henry exposed a few main secrets that go into getting those crazy transformations you see on film…

Movies are actually filmed backwards (or in any random order that’s needed for different sets and what not.)

So with a few special movie effects and capturing Mark’s physique when he was out of shape, they can make it look like he went through a radical transformation fairly quickly.

How Would Greg Get In Shape For A Movie?

Henry was curious as to how Greg would get in shape, given a chance to play a role in a movie.

It would obviously depend on how much time he had, the role, the look he needed to attain, things of that nature…

But he’d still stick to Kinobody style training and dieting!

(Need help finding the best path to your fitness goals? Take the free Kinobody Physique Survey here to help.)

Whether it would be to lean down or build muscle, he’d still intermittent fast and train for strength in the gym.

He’d just adjust his diet accordingly based on what the goal was.

This will reap results as quickly as possible while keeping it enjoyable for consistency.

Henry’s Best Takeaways For Hollywood Stars

As this episode comes to an end, we wanted to have Henry share his best tips for Hollywood Stars…

His takeaway is:

Keep your body in shape.

Getting in shape first will put you far ahead. It’s much easier to “get out of shape” for a movie role rather than trying to hit your best physique ever for a role.

Stay in shape all the time and be ready!

Thanks again Henry for sharing insights on the Hollywood realm of what goes down in the making of top films…

It’s been great having you on!
